Welterweight titleholder Errol Spence Jr. talks to the media about who he thinks Gennady Golovkin should square off with next as a replacement opponent. Here’s what he had to say…

“I mean he got a lot of dogs, man, waiting on him. I mean he got Jermall [Charlo], he got Demetrius Andrade…you got Danny Jacobs, you got Billy Joe Saunders which is a good fight. Man he got a lot of great fights.

“I think that Billy Joe Saunders fight would be real tough for him…looking at Billy Joe Saunders’ movement, the way he was boxing and moving against ol’ dude from Canada. Think it’ll be real tough for him.

“Jermall Charlo fight would be tough for him too with Jermall’s jab, power, and strength. I think that’ll be tough too for him…I don’t think he’ll ever fight Charlo. I don’t think so at all. I mean, probably politics too but just Jermall Charlo, he’s a long, strong, big guy. Even at 160 he’s a big guy.

“Golovkin is an older dude, you know, he’s gonna pick his fights. That’s why he’s gonna fight someone that’s gonna stand there like [‘Spike’] O’Sullivan or somebody like that.”
