The will-they-or-won’t-they between Danny Jacobs and Spike O’Sullivan is over, as O’Sullivan has agreed to Eddie Hearn’s terms to face Jacobs, possibly on April 28th at Barclays Center. Katie Taylor could feature as well, perhaps in a unification fight with IBF champ Victoria Bustos, and BoxRec also lists Jarrell Miller.

O’Sullivan (27-2, 19 KO) is 0-2 in big fights, falling to both Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr., but picked up some momentum by torching Antoine Douglas in seven last month. I’d peg him as around the same level of opponent as Luis Arias, but with the advantage that he should be willing to mix it up with Jacobs (33-2, 29 KO).

It would probably be a terrible idea, but hey.

Taylor (8-0, 4 KO), who will ideally fight in Dublin eventually, will be making the second defense of the WBA title she won by beating an overweight Anahi Esther Sanchez last year and defended less than two months later. Miller (20-0-1, 18 KO) will reportedly fight Trevor Bryan(19-0, 13 KO), whose last two opponents had a combined record of 4-44.
