Engineer Carlos Slim Helú, President of Grupo Carso and Governor of State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, inaugurated the Sports Hall of the Carlos Slim Foundation, which combines the exhibition of allusive segments of different sports disciplines with interactive activities… a feature which is unique in Mexico.
The Sports Hall has an area of 4,400 square meters, where visitors will find 2,139 national and international sports items, distributed in nine rooms. The included sports are Basketball, Olympics, Wrestling, Tennis, Boxing, Soccer, Football, Motorsports Races and Baseball.
The Hall offers visitors interactive spaces, where they can learn the basics of various disciplines such as high jumping, cycling, boxing, soccer and American football.
During the event, Engineer Slim Helú announced that access to the Sports Hall will have no cost to visitors. He also stressed that the aim of the Hall is to stimulate interest and knowledge in sports, while also stimulating the practice of them.
The Governor of the State of Mexico, Mr. Del Mazo Maza emphasized that this Hall is an example of sports promotion, unique in Latin America. He thanked the Carlos Slim Foundation for its dedicated commitment to boosting sports.
Salon Deporte is located in the Multimodal Transfer Center (CETRAM) Cuatro Caminos and will open from Monday to Sunday from 10:30 to 18:30.
