STEVENSON PROMISES BRIEF FONFARA REMATCH

WBC light flyweight  champion Adonis “Superman” Stevenson fights Polish contender Andrzej Fonfara on Saturday June 3, in  the main event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING,  presented by Premier Boxing Champions, at the Bell Center in Montreal.

Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs) and Fonfara (29-4, 17 KOs) fought on May 24, 2014. Adonis was able to survive a visit to the canvass,  get up and win a  decision, successfully defending  his belt for the third time.

“I’m very excited about this rematch with Fonfara, but it’s going to be a short night for him,” Stevenson said. “I’m very happy to be back in the ring for  my first fight of 2017. I can`t wait to fight in front of my fans.”
