CHINA – based Rolly “Bomba” Sumalpong of Surigao del Sur won by a unanimous decision against Yinhuan Su of Changsha last Dec. 8 in Nantong, China.
The 27-year old Sumalpong improve his record to 12 wins with four knockouts against three losses are three draws while Yinhuan dropped to five setbacks against seven wins and two draws.
Sumalpong recently had a split draw with Jun Zhao of China for the WBA Asia Bantamweight title last Nov. 15 at Zhenhaibao Theatre in Yinchuan.
Jun was knocked down once in the 3rd round. The judges were Taohu (96-92), Yanfang Zhao (90-98) and Zhengbing Ye (95-93).
WBA China submitted a revived result as 96-92, 90-98 and 94-94 in the next day with an announcement of miscalculation by the Supervisor Michael Huang.
