Stylish and hard hitting southpaw Jonathan Taconing made his first defense of the World Boxing Council international light flyweight championship with a second round KO of Arnold Garde at the grand ballroom of the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat Road, Paranaque.
Taconing, who stopped Salatiel Amit on Nov. 19, 2016 to win the title, fought very well again, easily dispatching a tough rival in 2.46 of the second.
This card was presented by international promoter Johnny Elorde in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Manila Premier.
Taconing is currently rated no. 3 in the WBC.
