Filipino contender, Jonathan “Lightning” Taconing, is willing and drilling himself to become the next icon of his country, challenging intrepid WBC light flyweight champion, Ganigan Lopez, at the iconic Arena Coliseo in Mexico City.
The Filipino power puncher has a KO ratio of 78%. He swirled into Mexico last week, closing his training camp at the Nuevo Jordan Gym, where he has been exactingly testing all of his sparring partners.
Due to orders of his team, he didn’t allow access to the media during the sparring sessions.
He boxed 4 rugged rounds with 3 different sparring partners, in excellent shape and with the firm intention of becoming the new WBC world champion. Ganigan insists, rather than begs to differ!
