Takesako to defend Japanese middle title

UNDEFEATED Kazato Takesako of Tokyo will defend his Japanese middle title against Riku Kunimoto of Osaka on Nov. 7 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

The 29-year old Takesako recently beat Shinobu Charlie Hosokawa by a unanimous decision to win the Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) middleweight title last Jan. 18, 2020 in Korakuen.

Takesako, who will be making his 4th title defense, last defended it against Shuji Kato of Tokyo by an 8th round knockout last Aug. 3.

Takesako has a total of 12 wins with 11 knockouts, no loss and one draw while undefeated Kunimoto has four wins with two knockouts.

The 23-year old Kunimoto knockout Shoma Fukumoto of Chiba in the 6th round last April 5, 2019 in Korakuen.
