DAVAO CITY — Former Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) minimumweight champion Ronnie “Ultimate Warrior” Tanallon of General Santos City will fight the undefeated Aldren Moreno on September 1 in Digos City.
Tanallon (10W-4L-1D, 2 KOs) of the Sanman Boxing Gym is coming from a split decision loss to Arnold Garde in their battle for the vacant WBF Asia Pacific light flyweight title last March 12 in T’boli, South Cotabato.
Moreno, a former national amateur boxer and now fighting for the MP Digos Gym, is still undefeated with two straight wins.
Three other 8-rounders will also be featured in the boxing card of promoter Atty. Luciano Cameros.
Super flyweight Richard Bulacan (2-0, 2 KOs) will face Michael Javier (8-1-0, 7 KOs) while light flyweight John Paul Bentoso (2-0, 2 KOs) takes on Bonjun Loperez (10-5-1, 5 KOs).
Light flyweight Ramel Antara (2-6-1) collides with Ian Ligutan (6-8-1, 3 KOs).
The other undercard:
Rey Tagulaylay vs. Paolo Perono (6 rds.-107 lbs.), Justin Cabarles vs. Frejun dela Cruz (6 rds.-126 lbs.), Jestine Tesoro vs. Yoben Lementillo (6 rds.-117 lbs.), Jerson Bancil vs. Dave Maningkil (6 rds.-108 lbs.), Jemar Cabale vs. Jason Francisco (4 rds.-105 lbs.) and Reymark Alicaba vs. JR Francisco (4 rds.-107 lbs.).
The official weigh-in is set tomorrow at 10 a.m. according to Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Region 11 OIC Arlene Olondriz.
