DAVAO CITY – The Tanzania Professional Boxing Regulatory Commission has finally responded to the letter of inquiry sent by the Games and Amusement Board recently regarding the complaint by boxer Eduardo “The Nightmare” Mancito (18W-12L-2D, 9KOs).
Yahya Poli, secretary-general of TPBRC gave the response.
The letter dated July 6 said:
“Thank you for contacting TPBRC with regard to the aforementioned matter. In this email, I have Cc’d Mr. Emmanuel Mlundwa (UBO Supervisor), Mr. Selemani Semunyu (the promoter of the event), and Mr. Agapiter Basil (Deputy President of the TPBRC).
Unfortunately, this is the only official communication sent to us regarding the matter. Nevertheless, we will attend to this matter with urgent and give you feedback as soon as possible.”
The 28-year-old Mancito of Jose Abad Santos, Davao del Sur until now did not receive his complete payment from the Tanzania promoter.
He only received USD1800 from promoter Selemani Semunyu for the fight against Salimu Jengo of Tanzania for the Universal Boxing Organization World lightweight title held last Nov. 28, 2020, at the Next Door Arena, Masaki in Dar-Es-Salaam.
Mancito lost by a unanimous decision. He was supposed to get an additional payment since it was a world title fight. Mancito and coach Alan Alegria went home to Manila without the complete payment.
Mancito recently lost to undefeated Charly “King’s Warrior” Suarez of San Isidro, Davao del Norte by a unanimous decision last July 3 at the Urdaneta Cultural Sports Complex in Urdaneta City.
