Terence Crawford: I’m not Manny Pacquiao, I’m in my prime

Terence Crawford (32-0, 23 KO) has a warning for Jeff Horn (18-0-1, 12 KO) come Saturday night:he’s not Manny Pacquiao. He’s better.

“I’m not Manny Pacquiao. I’m bigger. I’m stronger. I’m in my prime, and that’s going to show come Saturday. We’ll see Saturday night who’s getting rocked and dropped. This is what everybody’s been waiting on — for Terence Crawford to move up to 147. I’m looking forward to putting on a great show come Saturday night.”

Crawford, 30, is right that unlike the aging Pacquiao, he’s a prime fighter and geared up for the move to 147 pounds. The two-division champion is the overwhelming favorite against the 30-year-old Horn on Saturday, and there are good reasons for that. He has dominated at 135 and 140, and most people expect him to start his career at 147 in the same fashion.

That said, Horn is probably going to be the naturally bigger man, and if he can impose his physicality and make it a rough-and-tumble affair, it could get interesting.
