British Callum Smith and American Anthony Dirrell are in full preparation for their much anticipated clash of September 9th in Los Angeles, California for the vacant World Boxing Council super middleweight title.
Smith (22-0, 17 KOs) is the No. 1 super middleweight contender, while Dirrell (30-1-1, 24 KOs) is second.
Dirrell comes from defeating Norbert Nemesapati of Hungary (25-5, 18 KOs), who was stopped in six. Smith, a Liverpudlian, knocked out compatriot Luke Blackledge (22-3-2, 7 KOs) in the tenth round in Manchester, England.
“It’s a good fight, he’s a former champion and I’m undefeated. I feel 100% ready for this fight and I’ll continue training to conquer the green and gold belt,” said Smith.
