The African Boxing Union starts its annual Convention

The African Boxing Union, (ABU) has started its annual Convention at the Hotel Africana, in Kampala, Uganda.

The mission of this Summit September 6- 9, is to promote the sport in Africa and take it to the next level, especially in the host country, Uganda which hosts this event for the second time.

Some of the most important activities scheduled are: Ring officials seminars , evaluation of the performance of judges and referees through constructive discussions, review of medical protocols and security with the intention of ensuring the integrity of the boxers.

The Rankings Committee will also meet and the status of each division will be determined.

The President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaímán, and all of us, wish Mr. Houcine Houchi, President of the ABU, and all attending delegates, great success during this important event.
