The Best Bouts In ONE Championship History: #100-91

By OneFC.com

If 2018 has taught us anything, it is that ONE Championship athletes rarely fail to deliver excitement in the ring or cage.

Month after month, the competitors in the world’s largest martial arts organization put it all on the line in pursuit of glory – and to entertain the fans.

Choosing the top 100 bouts from every contest that has taken place inside the cage was no mean feat, but ONE has gone deep into the archives to curate a list of the most entertaining encounters.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will present them all to you, starting with numbers 100 through 91.

#100 Adrian Pang VS Vincent Latoel

Adrian “The Hunter” Pang earned his reputation as a supremely tough competitor in his first one appearance.

The Australian was relentless in his attack of Vincent “Magnivincent” Latoel at ONE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS (BEIJING) and finished him with a guillotine choke at 2:15 of round three.

#99 Riku Shibuya VS Adriano Moraes

Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes was made to work hard to earn his first ONE Flyweight World Title defense at ONE: AGE OF CHAMPIONS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt threw everything he had at Riku “The Outsider” Shibuya, but he had to settle for a unanimous decision victory at the end of five action-packed rounds.

#98 Alex Silva VS Yoshitaka Naito I

Alex “Little Rock” Silva put on the performance of his life to hand Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito the first defeat of his career, and win the ONE Strawweight World Title at ONE: WARRIORS OF THE WORLD.

Despite the strength of his world championship-winning Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Silva stayed on his feet to neutralize the Japanese champion’s grappling offense, and let his striking – particularly his powerful leg kicks – take him to victory via unanimous decision.

#97 Vaughn Donayre VS Amir Khan

Singaporean star Amir Khan had to prove his mettle, and mount an incredible comeback to finish Vaughn “The Spawn” Donayre on the blockbuster ONE: DEFENDING HONOR show.

Roared on by his home fans, Khan survived a second-round submission attempt, before turning on the heat in the final frame to come away with a rear-naked choke victory.

#96 Lena Tkhorevska VS Angela Lee

“Unstoppable” Angela Lee was taken out of the first round for the first time in her career by Lena Tkhorevska at ONE: SPIRIT OF CHAMPIONS, which made for a thrilling encounter in the Philippines.

For the finish, the Singaporean chained submission attempts together, which her Polish opponent did well to escape. However, she eventually succumbed to a rear-naked choke at 3:26 of round two.

#95 Audreylaura Boniface VS Rika Ishige

The first female star of Thai mixed martial arts became an instant sensation when she made her ONE debut against the tough Audreylaura “Ice Comet” Boniface at ONE: WARRIOR KINGDOM.

Rika “TinyDoll” Ishige was pushed hard by her Malaysian opponent at Bangkok’s Impact Arena, but her dominant grappling and ground strikes eventually sealed the victory for her at the 4:32 mark, and launched her career in style.

#94 Chan Rothana VS Samang Dun

Samang Dun‘s had was raised after his first bout with his Cambodian rival, but Chan Rothana made sure there was no doubt who the better man was when the pair met again in Phnom Penh at ONE: KINGDOM OF KHMER.

Though he had to endure some heavy offense, Rothana’s striking was too much for Dun to handle in the end, and he walked away with the first-round TKO.

#93 Yago Bryan VS Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke

Then-ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke had put on a show to win the belt, and he followed that performance with a five-round, back-and-forth battle with Yago Bryan at ONE: PRIDE OF LIONS in Singapore.

Dejdamrong showed off all aspects of his legendary Muay Thai skills, but his Brazilian opponent returned in kind, and even dropped “Kru Rong” in one of the most exciting exchanges of the match. However, Bryan ultimately fell via unanimous decision to the World Champion.

#92 Felipe Enomoto VS Eduard Folayang

ONE: PRIDE OF A NATION may have only been the organization’s fifth event, but Eduard “Landslide” Folayang was already developing a reputation as one of its most exciting athletes.

The Filipino warrior went toe-to-toe with Swiss star Felipe Enomoto in his homeland of the Philippines – showing off his dynamic striking throughout 15 minutes of action, which ended with a unanimous decision in his favor.

#91 Edward Kelly VS Sunoto

If you want to find out why they call Edward Kelly “The Ferocious,” look no further.

The Filipino from Team Lakay was relentless with his attacks against “The Terminator” Sunoto at ONE: AGE OF DOMINATION, and forced the Indonesian to succumb to a TKO at 2:14 of the third round at a roaring Mall Of Asia Arena.
