World Boxing Council light flyweight champion, Esmeralda ‘Joya’ Moreno is getting ready for the second defense of the green and gold belt on September 22nd, in a rematch against Yesenia ‘Niña’ Gómez in Cancun, Quintana Roo.
Moreno is concluding the hardest and most exacting stage of her prepration in order to successful defend the belt she conquered by defeating Ibeth ‘Roca’ Zamora.
Esmeralda stated: “This time I will not give any advantage whatever. That belt will come home with me because it’s my daughter’s. Yesenia is a very strong fighter but this time the story will be completely different.”
Moreno aged thirty one and two times world champion at 108 pounds, drew in her last bout with Yesenia Gomez.
