Miami – René Giraldo, lead announcer for “Boxeo Telemundo Ford,” and three division world champion boxer and 2004 Athens Olympian (Mexico) boxer Abner Mares have joined forces to cover Olympic boxing for the Telemundo Deportes sportscasting team at Rio 2016. One of the most-viewed sports for Hispanic audiences, boxing is a main focus of Telemundo Deportes’s Rio coverage. This week, Giraldo and Mares will bring viewers all of the action from the ring Monday through Saturday starting at 10:30 AM/9:30 C and Sunday starting at 11AM on Telemundo.
