On March 4 the O2 Arena in London, WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew and former champ David Haye will be firing on all cylinders, to prove who is the best man.
Tony entered the elite, when he won the WBC cruiserweight title in dramatic fashion against Ilunga Makabu whom he sent to canvas to become the division king in a bout at O2.
Former two-division, cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion David Haye returned from a three-year hiatus in January 2016, defeating Mark de Mori’s. On May 21 another victory, this time against Arnold Gjergjaj.
This follow up dust up promises to be a real Battle of Britain.
With an audience of divided loyalties, these two stars have already begun to “heat up” their presentation, with a war or words. Haye even assured that this fight will sound the toll for Tony to retire. Unlike the film of Creed, that featured Tony, David insists it`s down to earth reality, and this particular story certainly won`t have a happy ending… for him.
Prior to all this, Bellew was a little more cautious and his only response was: “I’m not under any illusion. I know exactly what I’m up against, it’s a big risk, but with a great reward.”
