1. Rey Vargas

Undefeated in 31 contests Vargas, alongside Dogboe, stands as one of the only two champions in the super-bantamweight division to remain undefeated, winning the vacant WBC title against Gavin McDonnell in February 2017 and successfully defending it twice. A unification between these two unbeaten fighters would make for a scintillating affair.

2. Daniel Roman

Five months after beating Shun Kubo to become WBA king, Roman returned to action defending his strap against Ryo Matsumoto. After Dogboe dethroned Jessie Magdaleno, the Ghanaian’s adviser, Mike Altamura stated they want to unify and did not rule out challenging another American.

3. Ryosuke Iwasa

Current IBF champion Iwaka offers an alternative to unify. Having won the strap in September 2017 against fellow countryman Yukinori Oguni, the southpaw has only made one defence and like Dogboe he is a fresh champion. This could be a good opportunity for Isaac to build on his title collection.

4. Jessie Magdaleno

After showing great resilience to recover from a first round knockout Dogboe was able to stop his American counterpart in round 11, however he was pushed all the way. A rematch could surface as Magdaleno has the financial backing of TopRank who will be eager to get their man back to the top.

Isaac Dogboe

5. Guillermo Rigondeaux

Having not fought since becoming the fourth man to retire on his stool against Vasyl Lomachenko at super-feather in December, Rigondeaux has not lost at super-bantam since becoming lineal champion in that division. A former unified champion, a victory for Dogboe against the great Cuban amateur would propel him on the world stage.
