WBCBy WBCnews

With the intention of knocking out “Barby” Juárez and becoming  the next superstar  of women’s boxing, Irma “Torbellino” Garcia, is undergoing a grueling  training camp in order to defend her WBC international bantamweight belt on Saturday, December 17 at the international “Oasis Arena Cancun.”
This extravaganza is presented by Promociones del Pueblo in association with Pepe Gómez’s Cancun Boxing and Memo Rocha’s Boxing Time.

It will be the first defense of the belt that she won a year ago by defeating Yesenia Tovar. Irma proudly carries her belt  by the side of her Federal Police batch, as she is also an outstanding Law and Order Officer.

The winner will be one step closer to contest for the WBC bantamweight belt, which is in the grasps of Zambian, Catherine Phiri.

“I have always dreamed of being world champion, since my  pro debut in 2010. Before that I did not miss any  Of. Manny Pacquiao vs., Juan Manuel Marquez wars. They were my inspiration to get into this  beautiful sport. I have a Law Degree and currently I am about to finish a masters in Public Administration, because I consider that it is very important to be prepared for the future. I also love boxing.”
