Unbeaten welterweight Jean Carlos “Lobo” Torres (12-0, 8 KOs) won by TKO at 2:30 of the second round when the referee stopped his bout against Travis Castellón (16-2-1, 12 KOs) on Friday night at the Rubén Zayas Montañez Coliseum in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico.
In an all-action bout, welterweight Bernard “Bimbo” Lebrón (10-1, 4 KOs) won by eight round unanimous decision over Antonio Sánchez (5-5-2, 3 KOs). Sánchez was down one time in the sixth round and that made the difference as the scores were 76-75, 76-75, 76-75.
In the upset of the night, unheralded welterweight Winston Velázquez (26-33-2, 15 KOs) sent previously unbeaten Jose “Chino” Lopez (11-1, 9 KOs) two times to the canvas to beat him by TKO at 2:59 of the second round.
