Unbeaten IBF junior welterweight champion Eduard Troyanovsky (25-0, 22 KOs) scored a second round TKO over mandatory challenger Keita Obara (16-2-1, 15 KOs) on Friday night at the Krylia Sovetov in Moscow, Russia. Troyanovsky knocked Obara through the ropes and completely out of the ring in round two, and then got a referee’s stoppage with a brutal follow-up barrage. Time was 1:35.
In other action, 2008 Olympic gold medalist and IBF #15 cruiserweight Rakhim Chakhkiev (26-2, 19 KOs) crushed Alejandro Emilio Valori (21-11, 15 KOs) in two rounds, and highly touted cruiserweight Alexey Papin (4-0, 3 KOs) stopped Jorge Oliveira Rodriguez (28-14, 14 KOs) in round one.
