Undefeated Tim Tszyu of Australia stopped Bowyn “BoMan” Morgan of New Zealand in just two minutes in the 1st round to retain the International Boxing Federation Australasian and World Boxing Organization Global super welterweight titles last Dec. 16 at the Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta, Australia.
The 26-year-old Tszyu sent Morgan crashing through the ropes with a thundering knockout victory to improve his record to 17 wins with 13 knockouts against no loss or draw.
Morgan, 31 suffered his second defeat against 21 wins.
Meanwhile, Darragh Foley of Ireland scored a split decision over Ty Telford of Australia to win the three vacant titles – WBA Oceania, IBF Pan Pacific, and IBO Asia Pacific super light titles.
The 32-year-old Foley improved his record to 19 wins against four defeats and one draw while Telford suffered his first loss against six wins and one draw.
Super featherweight Paul “Showtime” Fleming of Australia settled a technical draw with compatriot Bruno Tarimo in the 3rd round.
Fleming suffered a head cut caused by an accidental head clash.
