TUF 27 Finale salaries: Israel Adesanya cashes event-high $112,000

Rising middleweight contender Israel Adesanya handily led the disclosed payroll at The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale, cashing $112,000 for his main event victory over Brad Tavares.

The Nevada Athletic Commission released the event’s finalized salary information on Monday to MMA Fighting.

Adesanya put on a clinical, dominant performance against Tavares en route to a one-sided unanimous decision win in the headlining bout of TUF 27 Finale.

TUF 27 Finale took place July 6 at the Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada. The night’s main card aired live on FOX Sports 1.

Adesanya, a veteran of three fights in the UFC, was the lone athlete who cleared the six-figure mark in earnings at TUF 27 Finale. Notably, Adesanya cashed the same show/win purse split as his opponent, the night’s second highest earner, 17-fight UFC veteran Tavares. Tavares earned $56,000 in a losing effort.

In addition to their commission-reported salaries, Adesanya, Alex Caceres, Martin Bravo and Luis Pena also took home $50,000 fight night bonuses for their performances.
