As Tyson Fury continues to shed the pounds en-route to a return the the squared-circle, the former heavyweight titleholder insists that he’s paved the way for the current crop of heavyweight champions, telling Sky Sports that Anthony Joshua is doing a good job keeping his belts warm for him.
But one person Fury really wants to take on is WBC champion Deontay Wilder, and says he wants a piece of him no matter what happens to Wilder between now and whenever that fight can be made.
“He’s made for me. Whatever happens in his career, whether he gets knocked out in his next fight, I want to fight him, because we’ve got unfinished business,” said Fury.
”When I get in the ring, I’ll really give him a good hiding. He’s a good puncher and he has got a puncher’s chance all the way through until the end of the fight. But I believe I’ve got the best boxing skills in the division, and I’ll give him a boxing lesson, and then I’ll stop him, all 15 stone of him.”
Fury also commented that he received some good news just this morning that he would love to share with the world, but he can’t quite yet, although he plans on making an announcement soon. I’d hazard a guess that it has to do with his return fight, after over two years out of the ring.
