Former world champion Hernan “Tyson” Marquez (42-8-2, 30 KOs) won a four round technical decision over Eduardo “Lalillo” Hernandez (17-6, 7 KOs) in a bantamweight bout on Saturday night at the Gimnasio del Estado in Hermosillo, Mexico.
Marquez dropped Hernandez in round one, but was cut over the right eye by a headbutt in round two. The bloody battle raged through four rounds before being halted by the ring physician at the start of round five. The bout went to the scorecards where Marquez was up 40-35 across the board.
