UBO welcomes investigation on Tanzanian promoter

DAVAO CITY — The Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) has welcomed the investigation of the case involving the Tanzanian promoter Semunvu Selamani, who refused to pay the exact amount of boxer’s purse to lightweight Eduardo “The Nightmare” Mansito of Jose Abad Santos, Davao del Sur.

“Looking into the matter thoroughly, or as thorough as was possible for us, was the least we could do,” said UBO vice-president and general secretary David Maizner.

Maizner said that he is happy to hear Games and Amusement Board (GAB) will help Mansito and manager Brico Santig in regards to the Tanzanian commission and the promoter.

“We will look forward to hopefully work with you next year, and our offer of course stand for whenever you may choose to accept it,” said Maizner.
