The UFC 209 bout order has been reshuffled following the cancellation of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson.
With Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson scrapped after Khabib was not medically cleared to compete following his Thursday night hospitalization, UFC 209’s bout order has been tweaked. Ferguson will not remain on the card, as he declined to fight Michael Johnson, and apparently it would’ve been for lower pay and with no interim lightweight belt on the line.
Your new co-main event is Lando Vannata vs. David Teymur, so through extraordinary circumstances, Vannata is in his second UFC co-main slot in three fights. Bumped to the main card is the sole women’s bout lined up for Saturday night, as Amanda Cooper welcomes Cynthia Calvillo to the Octagon. That matchup was originally scheduled for the Fight Pass prelims. FS1’s Karyn Bryant published the new bout order on her Instagram page.
