NEW YORK – This is the UFC Brooklyn live blog for Henry Cejudo vs. T.J. Dillashaw, a flyweight championship bout at Saturday’s UFC event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Cejudo, who won a split decision over Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227 to claim the UFC flyweight title, defends against Dillashaw, the two-time and reigning UFC bantamweight champion, in the main event.

Round 1: Here we go — a superfight that potentially doubles as a last ditch effort to save the flyweight division? These stakes are unusual. And possibly not real. But realistically probably are. Anyway, the referee for this one is Kevin MacDonald. They did touch gloves at the introductions. Dillashaw is bouncing like he’s ready to come out of his skin. Good atmosphere here are Barclays. It’s a body kick right off from Cejudo, and then he shoves down down Dillashaw and pounces! It’s happening so fast! Cejudo is laying into Dillashaw, and with purpose…Dillashaw tries to stand, and he gets clubbed back down! Cejudo pouring it on…and the referee stops it! What a showing by Cejudo! Dillashaw saying it might have been a premature stoppage. Was it? Maybe. Cejudo might have saved the division. But either way, that was a star-shining moment. Wow.

Official result: Henry Cejudo def. T.J. Dillashaw via TKO (strikes) at :32 of R1
