Yair Rodriguez and Chan Sung Jung made sure that the UFC’s 25th anniversary show ended on the highest possible note.

The two featherweight fan favorites fought tooth-and-claw for almost five whole rounds in the main event of UFC Denver on Saturday before Rodriguez put Jung away with a counter elbow out of nowhere that can only be described as one of the greatest knockouts in MMA history. Making Rodriguez’s win even more incredible is the fact that two of the judges had already given Jung three of the five rounds and Rodriguez’s finishing blow came with one second remaining in the fight.

Both men were awarded $50,000 each for putting on the Fight of the Night and Rodriguez also claimed one of UFC Denver’s Performance of the Night bonuses, leaving him with an extra $100,000 total.

The other performance bonus went to Donald Cerrone, who is no stranger to post-fight awards. He picked up another one for his first-round armbar of Mike Perry in the welterweight co-main event.

“Cowboy” can now claim 14 UFC fight night bonuses, which is third only to Nate Diaz and Joe Lauzon, who both have 15.

The attendance at the Pepsi Center was announced as 11,426, with a gate of $946,706.78.
