Raphael Assuncao vs. Marlon Moraes

Round 1 – Low kick from Moraes. Assuncao with a right. Jab. Assuncao spins. Double jab from Moraes. Moraes feinting well, and lands a stiff jab. Moraes just misses with an uppercut, then drops Assuncao with two rights! He jumps into Assuncao’s guard but gets locked down. Assuncao is cut over the eye. Moraes postures up with big shots. He looks for a guillotine. He rolls into mount with it and Assuncao taps! Give this man a title shot!

Jose Aldo vs. Renato Moicano

Round 1 – Tepid start. Moicano paws with a jab. Moicano with a spin kick that comes up short. He misses with a leg kick. Aldo misses with a right hook. Moicano lands a left. Aldo with a beauty counter straight left. Hard leg kick from Aldo. Another. Moicano with one of his own. Inside now for Moicano. Aldo misses with a kick and Moicano charges, but nothing comes of it. Head kick from Moicano. Both men looking to counter it seems. Aldo looks for a body shot. Again. Jab from Moicano. They both land. Moe jabs from Moicano. Inside leg kick from Moicano. Two more jabs. Aldo with a left. Ado a little gunshy. 10-9 Moicano.

Round 2 – Jab from Moicano. Aldo with a huge left and Moicano is hurt! He’s all over him! Body shot! He’s chasing him around the cage landing big shots! Uppercut! Moicano is covering up! Another right hook and IT’S OVER! JOSE ALDO IS STILL HERE!

Demian Maia vs. Lyman Good

Round 1 – Maia backs Good up and dives in on a single. Maia ties up the legs. Good is really fighting him. Maia takes his back and climbs on. He looks for the choke. Body triangle. Good defending. Maia squeezes and squeezes. All this is happening with Maia on Good’s back while Good is still on his feet. Eventually he squeezes too hard for Good and he taps.

Charles Oliveira vs. David Teymur

Round 1 – They trade inside leg kicks. Teymur with an eyepoke. Oliveira is unhappy. It actually looked like a finger went into each eye. He’s taking a while with the doctor. The ref takes a point. They start again after three or four minutes. Immediately Oliveira complains of another eyepoke. The ref briefly stops it but tells Oliveira to get back at it. He’s showing some urgency with a jumping front kick. He’s pressing with punches. Teymur drops him with a straight left! He jumps in but Oliveira looks for an armbar! Teymur backs out. He’s cut. Oliveira pressing forward. He lands an elbow. Superman punch. Oliveira complaining again about eyepokes. The ref tells him to deal with it, more or less. Oliveira with a takedown. Teymur is up but Do Bronx spins him back to the floor. Teymur defends a leglock and gets up. Oliveira spins and misses. Oliveira with a huge jump knee to the chin! He lands a right over the top. Body shot from Teymur. Another knee from Oliveira, and a straight right. two left hooks. Teymur fires back. Inside leg kick from Teymur. Oliveira misses wit h a big kick. Body shot from Teymur again. Big left from Teymur. 9-9.

Round 2 – Leg kick from Oliveira. They brawl in close. Step-in up elbow from Oliveira and Teymur is hurt! Uppercut! He turns his back and Oliveira beats him up with punches. The ref doesn’t stop it, so Oliveira takes him down and chokes him out immediately!

Johnny Walker vs. Justin Ledet

Round 1 – Ledet comes straight forward. Walker with a hook kick and a spinning back fist and Ledet is down! He threw a blatantly illegal kick, but it missed, and then he landed three punches and the fight was over. Just like that. Johnny Walker is a crazy man. But is he going to be disqualified? No he will not.

Livia Renata Souza vs. Sarah Frota

Round 1 – Souza with a leg kick and now to the body. Frota lands a right. Souza with a takedown. She’s up but now Frota gets the takedown. She works in full guard. Frota landing the odd strike but they’re pretty stalled out. Out of nowhere Souza threw up an armbar attempt. Frota defends and they get back to the feet. Frota looks for a takedown but can’t get anywhere. Souza looks for a throw but Frota isn’t having it. Fronta jumps guard and looks for a choke but can’t keep a hold of it once she gets slammed to the mat. Souza with some big shots. 10-9 Souza.

Round 2 – They trade leg kicks. Souza lands a couple of rights. Frota cracks Souza and wobbles her briefly. Souza on the back foot now. Combo from Frota. Souza with a takedown. Frota just locks her down. Souza can’t get anything going and the ref stands it up halfway through the round. Souza takes her opponent right back down. Frota attacks an arm but Souza easily defends. She returns to the feet, but Souza looks to take it back down again. Frota defends the takedown and pushes Souza against the cage. She lands a few knees. Big left connects. Another big combo, but Souza takes it Souza ducks under for a takedown, and ends up on Frota’s back with one hook. She opens up with punches. She gets the arm under the chin but Frota fights it off before the horn. 10-9 Souza.

Round 3 – Body kick from Souza. Frota fires some punches and stuffs a takedown attempt. Stiff right from Souza. She went for a takedown but pulled guard. Frota with a few hammerfists.Not much happened and the ref stands them up. Body kick from Frota. Frota stuffs a takedown, and again. She tries to pull guard again but Frota just kicks her legs. The crowd doesn’t like this at all. The ref lets Souza stand up. They trade right. Body kicks from each lady. Fronta with a left. Souza lands a right hook. Frota lands a left hook that wobbles Souza. Souza with a leg kick. 10-9 Frota but 29-28 Souza.

Markus Perez vs. Anthony Hernandez

Round 1 – Perez with an outside leg kick. Hernandez presses forward with punches. Perez reverses on the fence. Perez spins to his back and slams Hernandez to the mat. He’s back up but Perez is still on him. Perez dragging Hernandez all over the place but can’t get him off his feet. Hernandez lands an elbow on the break. Perez with a hard body kick. Perez with a short elbow. Hernandez with a big shot over the top. Head kick from Hernandez. They trade rights. Perez with a huge combo and he charges across the cage at his opponent. Spinning elbow from Perez. Hernandez just misses with a big right. Hernandez has a small cut. Perez with a left hook. Hernandez clinches. Nothing doing. He presses forward with punches. Perez with a hard leg kick. Hernandez with a spin kick to the leg. They trade big punches again. Hernandez scores wit ha right. Knee from Perez. Two rights from Hernandez. Perez spins. Fun stuff! 10-9 Perez.

Round 2 – Body kick from Perez hurts Hernandez! Perez jumps on his back and lands some punches. He looks for a choke but he’s up high. Hernandez goes down but spins away. Perez with a standing D’Arce choke. He rolls! Hernandez taps! That was sweet!

Mara Romero Borella vs. Taila Santos

Round 1 – Inside leg kick from Santos. Borella clinches. She lands a knee. Extended battle against the fence. Santos gets a takedown. She almost steps over into mount. She takes the back and looks for a choke, but the arm is across the jaw. Standing now. Human backpack. Still looking for the choke. Borella fights off her arm and separates. She clinches again. She gets her own takedown and works from side control. Borella lands a few elbows. Santos spins her off and Borella stands. She pushes the prone Santos’ legs aside and jumps back into half. She traps an arm with her leg and opens up with punches. Santos clears it. Borella tries to do it again. Santos gets full guard back, and works rubber guard. Now she’s up looking for a triangle. Borella pulls out and lands two punches. She jumps back in with a couple more punches. 10-9 Borella.

Round 2 – Borella charges into the clinch immediately. They trade knees. Borella gets a brief takedown. Santos back up but Borella still on her. Extended (read: boring) battle against the fence. The crowd is unimpressed. Knees from Santos. The ref really should separate them, but she’s not. Well over half the round here. Borella with a knee. Finally the ref steps in with 1:25 to go. But of course, Borela goes straight back into the clinch. They separate with 45 seconds to go and Santos lands a body kick. Borella with a right and clinches. Dull end to the round. 10-9 Santos I guess.

Round 3 – They trade front kicks. Neither connects much with their hands. Borella tries to tie her up but Santos pushes her away. Inside and outside leg kick from Borella. They trade jabs. Santos slips o a kick. More jabs. Counter left from Santos. Inside leg kick from Borella. Inside leg kick from Santos, and a counter right. She lands a knee, and she’s pressing. Borella trying to fire back. Santos with a leg kick that Borella almost catches. Jab from Santos, and another. Right over the top. Borella circles away. Santos lands a hard shot. Borella can’t initiate the clinch. Jab from Santos. Santos misses with a spinning back fist. She lands a combo and a right over the top. Another. 10-9 and 29-28 Santos on my card, but the second could go either way.

Thiago Alves vs. Max Griffin

Round 1 – Alves with a hard leg kick right away. Combo and another leg kick. Griffin fires back. Griffin presses with a combo and Alves is hurt! Griffin swarms. They clinch. Alves regains his wits. Griffin separates and goes back to the jab. Leg kick from Alves. Inside leg kick bow. Griffin lands two lefts. Alves catches a knee and unsuccessfully tries for a takedown. Alves with a slapping right. Griffin jabbing well. Body work from Griffin now. He exits with an elbow. Low kick from Alves. They trade shots. Alves wades in with a combo. Alves with a body kick and a right hook. Griffin trying to keep him at bay with the jab. He lands a knee to the body. Another. Body shot from Griffin, counter left from Alves. He lands a high body kick and cracks him with a right. Griffin fires back and hurts Alves at the bell! He’s down but still alive! 10-9 Griffin.

Round 2 – Alves’ face is busted up but he comes out prepared for the second. He lands a left. Body kick. Griffin with jabs. Griffin with a step-in knee. Alves kicks the calf. Alves with a straight right and a body kick. Another body kick. He trips Griffin with a kick but can’t take advantage. Another body kick. Griffin circles to reset but eats another body kick. Griffin with a body shot. Alves is all over him and Griffin is hurt now! He ties up. Griffin looking for a takedown and sort of gets it. Alves down on one knee, then back up. Knees from Griffin and they reset with 90 seconds to go. Another step-in knee from Griffin and he loos for a takedown. They brawl in close. Uppercut from Alves! Alves lights him up! Great round. Griffin is circling away. Uppercut and inside leg kick from Alves. Griffin fires back with a hard right. Thundering body kick from Alves and he stalks. Knee from Griffin and a right. That was great! 10-9 Alves.

Round 3 – They brawl right out of the gate. Alves with the battering low kick. Alves with a right and he charges into the clinch. Knee from Alves. Body kick from Griffin. Spinning elbow from Alves but Griffin takes him down. Alves right back up but eats a knee. Griffin with a body lock takedown and he’s right into mount! Alves kicks out and gets back to half guard. He shrimps and almost escapes, but Griffin deftly pulls his legs out and keeps him in place. On his back now. Alves back up but Griffin stays on im. They finally separate with 1:15 go. Body kick and a left hook from Alves. Griffin ties up again. Alves looks for a takedown now. Griffin looks for a kimura. He ends up on top. 10-9 and 29-28 Griffin.

Thiago Alves defeated Max Griffin via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Junior Albini vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik

Round 1 – Albini with leg kicks and he looks for a takedown. He gets it. Albini steps over and looks for a kimura. He can’t get it so he looks to move mount. Rozenstruik dumps him off and they return to the feet. Albini gets him back down and takes his back. Rozenstruik reverses and lands a few punches, then backs out. Albini with a hard right. They clinch. Low knee from Rozenstruik. Albini with a body kick. Albini with a slow shot. Can’t get Rozenstruik to the floor. He finally opens up with some strikes. 10-9 Albini.

Round 2 – Slow pace to start. Few kicks. Rozenstruik connects with a big shot that stuns Albini! Two shots and a head kick and Albini is down. Rozenstruik all over him and the ref steps in. Wow.

Geraldo de Freitas Jr. vs. Felipe Colares

Round 1 – They trade kicks. Outside leg kick from Colares. Inside kick and a 1-2 from De Freitas. Hard jab from De Freitas, then he goes to the body. Colares wades in with punches. De Freitas with a couple of knees and a left hook. Big right lands. Colares picks him up high and eventually slams him to the mat. Colares takes his back standing but gets dumped off. De Freitas can’t keep him down, and Colares ends up on top. Back and forth. De Freitas reverses position and they’re back up. Frantic action. Colares looks for a how but De Freitas stands up him and throws him to the mat. He’s in half, but Colares is very active off his back. He ends up on top with some elbows. 10-9 De Freitas.

Round 2 – Body kick from De Freitas. Head kick. He scores with a combo, but Colares backs him off. Two big shotss from De Freitas and Colares is wobbled and cut. He clinches. De Freitas looks for a takedown and gets it. He steps over to mount. Colares gives up his back. Heavy leather from De Freitas. Now full back control in a seated position against the cage. Back to mount. On the back again. Pops up for an armbar but Colares reverses. Odd positions. Colares is just rollng around on top of him. Kind of weird. Ends with Colares in half. Back to full guard. Colares briefly takes the back but they return to the feet with a minute to go. De Freitas gets another takedown. Colares right back up. Body knee from De Freitas. Head kick from Colares. De Freitas with a power double. 10-9 De Freitas.

Round 3 – Leg kick from De Freitas. Body shot from Colares. They both land big shots. De Freitas with a takedown. Knee to the belly from the clinch after Colares got up. Colares tries to hit a throw but there was nothing there. De Freitas lands a few shots and a jump knee. De Freitas lights him up, then power doubles him to the mat. He can’t take the back. He steps over to mount instead. Colares immediately turtles against the cage and gets up. De Freitas with a three-punch combo and the takedown again. Colares back up yet again. He’s stuck to De Freitas’ back. He gets De Freitas to the mat, albeit briefly. He’s just holding on. Finally he opens up with his hands. They brawl to the horn. 10-9 and 30-27 De Freitas.

Geraldo de Freitas defeated Felipe Colares via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Ricardo Ramos vs. Said Nurmagomedov

Round 1 – Nurmagomedov with an inside leg kick. Outside kick now. Spinning back kick to the body knocked Ramos way back. That was hard. Spinning head kick misses. Low leg kick. Spinning back fist. Another spinning back kick to the body hurts Ramos. Head kick. He’s all over him with punches and it’s over! That was beautiful.

Rogerio Bontorin vs. Magomed Bibulatov

Round 1 – They clinch up and Bibuatov gets a takedown. Bontorin looks for an omoplata and they return to the feet. Nice combination from Bontorin. He catches a kick, takes the back, and has full back mount from the bottom just like that. He’s looking for a choke. Bibulatov fights it off but he’s still in danger. He gets one arm under the chin but Bibuatov is holding onto the other arm. Bibulatov spins out and gets full guard back. Elbow rom Bontorin. Bibulatov gets back up and lands a spinning back kick. A left and a body kick land for Bibulatov. Body work. Bibulatov can’t get the throw. 10-9 Bontorin.

Round 2 – Bibulatov presses forward. They clinch up. Right in close from Bontorin. The ref warns Bibulatov for grabbing the shorts. Bontorin with a lead left. Hook kick attempt from Bibulatov. He lands two body shots and a side kick. Big left from Bontorin. Spinning back kick to the body from Bibulatov. Bibulatov gets a takedown with 90 seconds to go. Bontorin fights his way out of the bad spot. Another hook kick from Bibulatov. Bontorin with a right. He shoots but eats an uppercut and body kick for his efforts. Spinning back kick. 10-9 Bibulatov.

Round 3 – Bontorin with a lead left. Bibulatov misses with a spin kick. Slower pace in this round. Bibulatov with a step-in knee. Bontorin with a nice 1-2. Another left connects for him. Head kick from Bibulatov. Straight right from both men. They’re trading now, halfway through the round. Bibulatov presses forward but can’t get a takedown. Right over the top from Bontorin. Bibulatov fails on another takedown attempt. Bontorin tries now, but can’t get it done either. Counter right to the body from Bontorin. He manages to get Bibulatov to the ground and takes the back with one hook. He’s in a seated position against the cage and they’ve stalled out. He looks for a late choke. The round ends. 10-9 and 29-28 Bontorin.
