The UFC’s first of ten Fight Nights events on ESPN television — main card on ESPN TV and not ESPN+ — is set for Sunday, February 17th in Phoenix, Arizona. In the main event, former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez takes on Francis Ngannou, in what is Cain’s first fight since UFC 200 in July 2016. Hey, he headlined the first UFC on FOX show in 2011, why not do it again on ESPN?
We don’t have a co-main event officially listed but it looks to be a lightweight bout between James Vick and Paul Felder. There’s also a key bantamweight scrap featuring Aljamain Sterling against Jimmie Rivera. A few fights from the cancelled UFC 233 card were shifted to this event, including Kron Gracie’s UFC debut against Alex Caceres, as well as Vick vs. Felder.
Here’s what is on tap for UFC on ESPN 1. And no, this is not the official bout order.
