UKRAINIAN PUGILIST KHYZHNIAK SEEKS GOLD AGAINST BRAZILIAN HEBERT SOUSA FOR THE MIDDLEWEIGHT MATCH TOKYO 2020

Ukraine’s Oleksandr Khyzhniak seeks to win yet another gold and repeat his 2019 European Games stint as he is to face the tough 2019 World Championship Bronze medalist, Hebert Conceicao Sousa of Brazil, for the Middleweight division at the Tokyo Olympics.

Khyzhniak earlier saw a hard-earned split decision win over the Philippines’ Eumir Marcial as Sousa edged a Unanimous Decision against Gleb Bakshi of Russia.

Sousa also lost earlier at the 2019 AIBA World Championships both to Marcial (Silver) and Bakshi (Gold) in Yekaterinberg.
