UNBEATEN CHIBA FIGHTS LOBETANIA ON JAN. 20

UNBEATEN Japanese fighter Kai Chiba is facing Brian “Buhawi” Lobetania of the Philippines on January 20 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The 24-year old Chiba is still undefeated with seven straight wins and six knockouts. He previously stopped compatriot Ryo Matsubara via a 5th round technical knockout last October 27 also at Korakuen Hall.
Lobetania (12W-4L-3D, 10 KOs) will be the first Filipino opponent of Chiba, who has beaten already fighters from Thailand, Indonesia and South Korea.
The 26-year old native from Bukidon previously scored a 4th round technical knockout win against Jayson Nicart last November 27 in La Trinidad, Benguet.
Lobetania also fought but lost for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super bantamweight title against Arnel Baconaje by a unanimous decision last March 18 in San Fernando City. (LITO DELOS REYES)
