Jack Shore was left without a dance partner for his bantamweight title fight last weekend at Cage Warriors 97, but it has now been announced that the Welsh prospect will meet fellow unbeaten prospect, Mike Ekundayo, for the vacant belt at Cage Warriors 100 on Dec. 8.

Cage Warriors announced the title fight via its social media feeds on Thursday.

Last weekend, Shore improved to 9-0 with a first-round TKO over 11th-hour replacement, Wessley Maia, in front of his adoring Welsh fans following the late withdrawal of his second scheduled opponent, Oemer Cankardesler.

He is considered one of the most outstanding prospects in the U.K. and Ireland and Cage Warriors choice to book its milestone event, Cage Warriors 100, in Cardiff was largely thought to be an effort to further build “Tank” as the face of the promotion.

Ekundayo (7-0-0) claimed a victory in his Cage Warriors debut in July, out grappling experience bantamweight competitor Ed Arthur on route to a unanimous decision win. Known as “Airlines”, Ekundayo has a reputation for his strength and wrestling ability. He is a training partner of former Cage Warriors bantamweight champion, Nathaniel Wood.

On Wednesday, Cage Warriors announced that several of the organizations biggest names would fight at the milestone marquee, including one of the best-known names in European MMA, Paddy Pimblett. Also set for action on the night is Welsh bantamweights Joshua Reed and Kris Edwards, returning Northern Irishman, Joe McColgan, and former promotional welterweight champion, Nicolas Dalby.
