Betrayal: Dishonest Pedro Tyson Team

Betrayal: Dishonest Pedro Tyson Team

By #FightnewsAsia.

In a shocking display of unscrupulous behavior, Tyson Pedro’s promotional company, led by John Ioannou of JNI Promotions and Chad Cumic, has brazenly swindled boxer Taimoor Khan out of his rightful purse payment.

This egregious breach of trust and contract has left Khan and his team reeling in disgust and disappointment.

The fight between Pedro and Khan unfolded on February 26 at the Panther Rugby League Club in Penrith, where Pedro knocked out Khan in a highly anticipated main even bout live on Stan Sport.

Despite the clear terms of the fight contract, which stipulated that Khan’s purse of USD 60,000 would be paid in full by February 28, the trio – Pedro, Ioannou and Cumic – has shamefully reneged on their obligations.

A written promissory document, signed by Chad Cumic, assured payment to Taimoor Khan and his manager, Brico Santig.

The promissory document was witnessed and signed by Patrick Cusick of WBC Australasia and Justice of the Peace Angus Arthur Lindsay Henderson, who was also an Inspector during the bout.

However, this promise has proven to be nothing more than a hollow gesture, as no payment has been made.

Compounding the outrage, another fighter, Sukpasried Ponphitak from Thailand, who also competed and was knocked out on the February 26 show, has similarly been denied his rightful purse payment.

How could such a behavior be tolerated in Australia boxing?

Indeed, the unspeakable actions of Pedro’s camp have brought shame to Aussie boxing and tarnished the reputation of Australian promoters.

Taimoor Khan and his team are rightfully outraged by this unconscionable betrayal.

The failure to comply with the contract has not only caused financial hardship, but also damaged the trust and integrity that are essential to the sport of boxing.

The boxing community demands justice and accountability.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) and the Combat Sports Authority of New South Wales must take immediate action to address this egregious breach of contract and ensure that Justice snd honor prevail, and that fighters are protected from such unscrupulous behavior in Australian holy soil.

The actions of Tyson Pedro’s camp serve as a stark reminder of the darker side of the boxing world.

It is imperative that we stand together to condemn such horrible and evil behavior.

Taimoor Khan of Pakistan and Sukpasried Ponphitak of Thailand humble boxers who came to Australia to compete, risking their own lives, must be paid.

Let’s us stand on the side of goodness, fairness, honor, transparency, and accountability in Australian boxing.
