In a huge upset, little-known lightweight Francis Chua (6-0-1, 2 KOs) won a six round split decision over WBO #2 rated Kye “Mr. Frenzy” MacKenzie (20-2, 17 KOs). Scores were 59-56 58-56 Chua, 58-56 MacKenzie.
In a clash between unbeaten super featherweights, Liam Wilson (3-0, 2 KOs) dethroned Brent Rice (9-1, 2 KOs) to claim the Australian belt via ten round unanimous decision. Scores were 97-92, 96-93, 97-92.
Welterweight Cameron “The Hammer” Hammond (18-1, 9 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over Frank Rojas (23-2, 22 KOs) in a clash for the WBA Oceania title. Scores were 99-92, 100-90, 98-92.
Middleweight prospect Ben Mahoney (6-0, 2 KOs) beat Adrian Rodriguez (11-2-2, 5 KOs) by split decision in a five-round clash. Scores 49-46, 49-46 Mahoney, 48-47 Rodriguez.
Cruiserweight Kurtis Pegoraro (12-4, 1 KO) surprised David Aloua (12-3, 8 KOs) over four. Scored 40-36 across the board.
Super welterweight Ben Horn, brother of Jeff Horn, was stopped in round four by Lachlan O’Shea. Pro debut for both.
