Former welterweight world champion Victor Ortiz and John Molina Jr. offered open media training at the Fortune Gym in Los Angeles, prior to their dust up on Sunday, September 30 at the Premier Boxing Champions main event of FOX Sports from Ontario, California.
This was what both fighters had to say:
Víctor Ortiz: “You have to keep that fire burning inside you to keep competing in this sport. You have to get there 100 miles per hour, this is my sport and I’m going to destroy him, then we can go to lunch … I have a lot of respect for Molina, but this is boxing. He’s in my way right now and I’m going to knock him out. ”
John Molina Jr: “Victor deserves my undivided attention, especially for this fight. He’s a strong guy who hits hard at 147. I never choose the easy kid to fight. I expect fireworks.”
