Valdez wants to fight Berchelt
The RING TELMEX-TELCEL fighter, Oscar Valdez, decided to vacant his featherweight world title, to make his way up to the super featherweight division where he aims to take on World Boxing Council champion, Miguel “Alacrán “Berchelt.
Valdez said: “I was already having a hard time marking 126 pounds, so climbing to 130 pounds will make me feel very good, without losing power. I want the best super feathers in the world. I want to fight WBC champion Miguel Berchelt.”
With a 26-0 record, with 20 knockouts, Valdez was crowned in July 2016 against Matias Rueda and then made six defenses. He`s ambitiously commented that he plans to conquer the super featherweight division and later the lightweight division.
