Undefeated Jayson “Striker” Vayson of Bayugan, Agusan del Sur defeated unbeaten Nutlai Lalniakkkima of India by a split decision to win the vacant WBC Asia Boxing Council Continental light flyweight title last June 18 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.

“The fight was okay, there was no bias,” said Vayson.

The 24-year-old Vayson said that the Indian boxer was also very good.

Lalniakkkima suffered his first setback after four wins with four knockouts.

Vayson is still undefeated with 10 wins, five knockouts and one draw.

Vayson recently had a fight with Tibo Monabesa of Indonesia for the WBC International light flyweight title last February 27 in Jakarta. But the fight was declared a no contest.
