Ukrainian Andrii Velikovskyi drew with the Mexican José de Jesus Macias for the vacant international middleweight title of the World Boxing Council, in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, Baden, Germany.
One judge saw Velikovskyi 96-94 as the winner, another favored Macías 96-94 and a third saw the bout equal 95-95. Velikovskyi has a record of 19-2-2, 12 knockouts, while Macias left with his record at 28-10-4, 14 knockouts.
During this same evening, the Ukrainian Petro Ivanov kept his undefeated record and conquered the vacant International super-middleweight title of the World Boxing Council, via a TKO over Mexican Rafael Amarillas Ortiz in the third round.
A walloping left to the body sent Amarillas Ortiz to the canvas. Ivanov improves his record to 14-0-2, with 9 knockouts, while Ortiz is now 14-4-1.
