Vicente Luque replaces injured Luan Chagas against Niko Price at UFC Sao Paulo

Niko Price has a new opponent for UFC’s upcoming event in Brazil.

With Luan Chagas sidelined due to a broken foot, Price is now set to meet Vicente Luque in Sao Paulo on Oct. 28, the promotion announced Wednesday. Combate first reported the change.

Luque (11-6-1) was riding a four-fight winning streak with four stoppages until he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards in March. His last win was a 79-second knockout over Belal Muhammad in Nov. 2016.

Price (10-0, 1 no-contest) won his three bouts inside the Octagon, but had his second victory overturned after testing positive for marijuana. In his most recent appearance, he finished Alan Jouban in the first round.

UFC Sao Paulo takes place at the Ibirapuera gymnasium and features Derek Brunson vs. Lyoto Machida in the main event.
