In an entertaining 12-rounder clash, Filipino Vic “Vicious” Saludar (21-6, 11 KO’s) lost a unanimous decision to Boricua newcomer Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (5-0, 3 KO’s) of Villalba, Puerto Rico, during one of the prelim fights in Oscar de la Hoya’s show Saturday night (July 16) in Los Angeles, California.
During the battle for the regional 105-lbs WBO North American belt, both Collazo & Saludar visited the canvas during the action of round 7; with both getting up, making it to the final bell. The referee was Mrs. Sharon Sands.
Vic “Vicious” Saludar’s defeat follows his bother’s Froilan “The Sniper” Saludar’s defeat 4 days ago in Tokyo, Japan.
The popular Saludar of brothers of Cagayan de Oro seem to be going these days thru a slum, hoping to get back in the winning column fast.
