Video: Conor McGregor stars in new Burger King commercial

Conor McGregor is an actor now. The UFC lightweight champion (for now at least) hasn’t stepped into the Octagon since November 2016, but the notoriety he gained from a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn’t going to waste. A new Burger King commercial starring McGregor was released today.

In the commercial, which you can view above, McGregor is on a private plane talking up a Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich. After some choice words (with one even bleeped out), the BK King walks onto the plane, sandwich in hand. McGregor rips it from his grasp and aggressively bites into it. He then says “from one king to another, this packs a real kick.”

After giving the sandwich the promo push, he follows it up with something that has nothing to do with the sandwich, but is pretty funny anyway:

“Oh, and by the way. Thanks for all the trash talk, guys. You just put Conor Jr. through college!”

No idea why that’s in there, but it did add an element of humor to things at least.

McGregor also took to Instagram to promote his commercial, naming a few of his possible next opponents in the process:

“Forget Floyd, forget Nate, forget Khabib and forget Tony. I finally found a real contender who can bring the heat @burgerking #spicycrispychickensandwich #ad“
