It didn’t take long for Ronda Rousey to get physical.
Making her second on-screen appearance for the WWE since joining the company this year — following her show-closing debut at the Royal Rumble in January — Rousey was advertised for a “contract signing” segment at the professional wrestling promotion’s Elimination Chamber show in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The segment featured WWE executives Triple H and Stephanie McMahon welcoming the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion to the WWE Universe with a contract for her to perform on Monday Night RAW and to have a match at WrestleMania 34 on April 8. On-screen authority figure Kurt Angle was also involved, and his character played a role in the signing breaking down into violence.
After Triple H and McMahon showered Rousey with praise, she prepared to sign on the dotted line, but paused when Angle accidentally revealed that this was all a plan for Triple H and McMahon to get Rousey under control after she embarrassed them at WrestleMania 31 three years ago.
That led to a physical confrontation in which Rousey picked up Triple H and threw him through a table:

Rousey would go on to sign the contract, indicating her plans to make further appearances on WWE television and compete at WrestleMania.
