UFC lightweight Vinc Pichel was the victim of a hit-and-run accident this past weekend.
According to a post that Pichel made on Instagram, the incident occurred Sunday and the results sent him to a hospital emergency room:
“So I was involved in a hit-and-run accident last Sunday on my Harley and spent most of the day in the ER,” Pichel wrote. “I don’t know exactly what happened. I just know I was clipped from the back and thrown off of my bike several feet without any time to react.
“My back is fully ‘road-rashed’ along with my knees, forearms and I have stitches in my left elbow and I can barely move, but other then that I’m ok.”
Pichel’s post included pictures of his damaged back, which can be seen below:
In a pair of short clips, Pichel also shows off the helmet that probably saved his life (“It definitely pays to have a good helmet,” he says) and the damage to his motorcycle.
“My license plate’s smashed off. My whole left side’s mashed. My shock’s f**ked up, my case is f**ked up, my bars are bent, I had to bend ‘em back to get ‘em semi-straight so I could ride back home. My fanning’s f**ked up,” Pichel said.
Pichel (11-2) last fought in June at UFC Fight Night 131, where lost by second-round submission toGregor Gillespie.
