Virna Jandiroba to defend Invicta FC title against Janaisa Morandin in September

The strawweight title will be on the line at Invicta FC 31, as 115-pound champion Virna Jandirobatakes on Janaisa Morandin on Sept. 1, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.

Jandiroba and Morandin were originally scheduled to meet for the vacant belt in March, but Morandin pulled out of the card with an injury. Jandiroba went on to fight Mizuki Inoue, winning via split decision.

“Carcara” improved to 13-0 in mixed martial arts with the victory. Ten of her victories have come by way of submission.

Morandin hasn’t fought since December, when she scored a decision victory over Kinberly Novaesto improve to 10-1 as a professional fighter.

Invicta FC is expected to officially announce the card, its location, and the title bout, in the coming days. The promotion’s next event is scheduled for Saturday night in Kansas City, Missouri, featuring Jinh Yu vs. Minna Grusander for the atomweight crown in the main event.
