Former two-time world champion Andre S.O.G. Ward (29-0, 15 KOs) has remained a whopping 85:1 favorite all week at 5dimes to defeat Alexander Brand (25-1, 19 KOs) tonight on HBO from Oracle Arena in Ward’s hometown of Oakland, California. Euro sportsbooks have Ward and even wider favorite at -10000, that is bet $10,000 to win $100.
The more interesting play for this fight is the over/under of 9.5 rounds. “Over” is -120, while “under” is +100. Ward has gone the distance in seven of his last nine, but he looked much bigger than Brand at the weigh-in, so a Ward KO could well be in in the cards.

With a win, Ward would setup a showdown with WBA/IBF/WBO light heavyweight world champion Sergey Kovalev, who will be at ringside scouting Ward. Ward, on the other hand, said he didn’t even watch Kovalev’s recent fight against Issac Chilemba on TV.
