Warlley Alves vs. Sultan Aliev slated for UFC 224

A welterweight fight between Warlley Alves and Sutlan Aliev has been added to UFC 224 on May 12.

The fight was announced during a UFC 224 media day Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Alves (11-2) has won three of his past five UFC fights, including his last trip to the Octagon via unanimous decision against Salim Touahri at UFC Gdansk this past October.

Aliev (14-2) is 1-1 in the UFC. He defeated Bojan Velickovic via split decision at UFC on FOX 22on Dec. 17, 2016.

Amanda Nunes will defend her bantamweight title against Raquel Pennington in the main event.
