In advance of Monday’s purse bids at the World Boxing Association offices in Panama, representatives of WBA Super World bantamweight champion Rau’shee Warren (14-1, 4 KOs), from Cincinnati, Ohio, and WBA World bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell (28-2-1, 13 KOs), from Doncaster, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, have informed the WBA Championships Committee that they have reached an agreement.
The fighters intend to send their respective contracts to the WBA in the coming days.
Twenty-nine-year-old Warren was a highly decorated amateur. He turned pro in 2012 and won the WBA Super World bantamweight title on June 18 of this year by defeating reigning and defending champion Juan Carlos Payano by majority decision after 12 rounds, in the second of their two fights.

With news that Warren and McDonnell have agreed to terms, only two of three purse bids will be held as scheduled. The first fight is between WBA World interim heavyweight champion Luis Ortiz and WBA #3 ranked Alexander Ustinov. The second fight is between WBA World super welterweight champion Jack Culcay and WBA #1 ranked Demetrius Andrade.
