JAPANESE fighter Takuya Watanabe stopped Amin Sor Wangmoo of Thailand in 2:13 of the sixth round to capture the vacant WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight title last September 14 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Watanabe scored his 30th victory and 16th knockout against six losses and one draw.
The 27-year old Watanabe, a former WBC Youth World lightweight champion, has won his last four fights all by knockout or technical knockout.
Wangmoo, on the other hand, suffered only his second setback against 14 wins (11 KOs) and two draws. He previously won by a unanimous decision against Indonesian Jemmy Gobel last June 10 in Bangkok.
The Watanabe-Wangmoo title-fight was promoted by Shosei Nitta of Kawasaki Nitta Promotions and supervised by Leon Panoncillo.
